This Fall, Davis Street Land Company will begin construction to redevelop a 2.6-acre block on El Paseo, just west of the upscale lifestyle center The Gardens on El Paseo, located between San Pablo Avenue and Lupine Lane in Palm Desert.
Fueled by a thriving tourism business that draws more than 3 million visitors annually to the Coachella Valley, El Paseo Village will be in the heart of the valley's premier shopping street, El Paseo Drive, commonly referred to as the "Rodeo Drive of the Desert".
El Paseo Village will contain more than 36,000 square feet of ground floor retail space fronting El Paseo with an additional 15,500 square feet of office space and 17,900 square feet for two featured restaurants with terraced seating overlooking El Paseo Drive.
The development is adjacent to The Gardens on El Paseo, which is anchored by a 50,000 square foot Saks Fifth Avenue store (expanding to 77,000 square feet in 2009). The Gardens also contains 150,000 square feet of upscale specialty stores and, together with El Paseo Village, will compliment the street with many new fashion, entertainment and fine dining choices.
Retailers coming to El Paseo Village include Juicy Couture, Lucky Brand Dungarees, bebe, Janie and Jack and Banana Republic. Additionally, Mastro's Steakhouse has been added as one of the two featured restaurants.
Construction is scheduled to commence Fall 2008, with the Grand Opening to follow in November 2009.
