The Meadows at Lake Saint Louis is the latest ground-up development by Davis Street Land Company. The lifestyle center, located in the fast growing western suburbs of Saint Louis, MO, serves St. Charles County; specifically the affluent communities of Lake Saint Louis, O’Fallon, and Wentzville. The development is located at the southeast corner of the intersection of I-64/US 40 and Lake Saint Louis Blvd. Interstate I-64/US 40 is the main east/west artery through St. Louis.
The center draws from strong demographics and includes 357,000 people in the trade area with average household incomes of approximately $82,773. 27% of the trade area has household incomes in excess of $100,000 and the population is expected to grow over the next five years by nearly 10%.
The project is being developed in phases with the first phase encompassing junior anchors Bed Bath & Beyond and Old Navy, and restaurants and small shop space totaling approximately 338,000 square feet. Future phases will bring the total development to approximately 500,000 square feet, beginning with the opening of a two-level, 130,000 square foot Von Maur department store (2010) at the north end of the site. The Von Maur store is the first in Missouri.
Phase I opened in the Fall of 2008 and features the leading lifestyle retailers and restaurants found throughout Davis Street Land Company’s portfolio. Retailers include Chico’s, Jos. A. Bank, Talbots, Coldwater Creek, Ann Taylor Loft, Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works, The Walking Company, Charming Charlie, Claire’s, Sunglass Hut, Yankee Candle, Lenscrafters, New Balance, Christopher & Banks, CJ Banks, Select Comfort, New York & Co, Aeropostale, Gymboree, Clarkson Jewelers and Backwoods. Restaurants include BC’s Kitchen and Max & Erma's.
